Good Grief Southend

For those who feel they would like to go to bereavement counselling you maybe interested in the following organised by Rev.  Reid Humble Holy Trinity Church in Southchurch Boulevard:-

Loss, bereavement, and grief are a normal, difficult, part of life. Everyone will eventually experience a loss or bereavement of some kind, but some people find they feel very alone in their experience of grief. The social impact of COVID 19 on all our lives may also intensify feeling alone in our grief. Good Grief Southend is a group for people who would like to share their experience of loss or bereavement with others who are in a similar position. It does not need to be Covid related.

Each group meets for 3 sessions and is confidential. After the 3 sessions group members will have the opportunity to stay in touch with each other, if they would like to.

Group members need to be willing to attend all 3 sessions.

Following positive feedback from our initial session we are running another group for adults on Wednesdays 14, 21, and 28 October 2020 from 6-7pm. We will meet at the Holy Trinity Church Hall on Southchurch Boulevard, SS2 4XA. All government guidelines will be followed.

The meetings will be facilitated by The Rev’d Reid Humble (Priest-in-Charge of Holy Trinity Southchurch). Reid is experienced in facilitating grief groups for people from a wide variety of backgrounds from his time as Associate Chaplain at the University of Sheffield

Space is limited, but we are planning to develop further groups for the future.
