We now have a very local group – Snowdrops which had their first meeting last week (February 2025) – they meet at Earls Hall Church in Hobleythick lane. The ladies who run this are lovely.

There is also Forget me nots in Laindon and Essex Sands in South Woodham Ferrers.

I have attached the posters for the groups I have in the Butterfly suite.
There is also online peer support available from

Baby Loss Service – this and every year

Revd Dave and Amanda Cushing, assisted by Barbara Black, Sally Denton and the ladies of St Augustine’s congregation hold a Baby Loss Service at St Augustine’s Church every year to celebrate Baby Loss Awareness Week which is always on from 9th to 15th October every year. This week celebrates babies lost at anytime during and after pregnancy.

Our service is always on the Sunday which falls between these two dates and starts at 4pm The Church is lit up inside and out with beautiful pink and blue lights. It is a beautiful service where anyone can read a scripture or a poem, if they would like to, and light a candle or two for their lost babies. Everyone including children are welcome to come and light a candle and write baby’s name on a heart which will be held in the Lady Chapel for remembrance through-out the year.

Contact myself or Amanda (details at the top of the page) fr more details or for a wish to become involved.
